<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Technische Visualistik mbH, cura3D<\/sup> GmbH und Co. KG and the IXLAB of the Technische Universit\u00e4t Dresden as well as the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden as an associated partner are launching a joint research project to revive originally mobile artifacts with AR, VR and XR technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The aim of the project is to develop suitable procedures and methods to enable museums to use interactive-immersive presentations to convey in the best possible way formerly movable and historically valuable exhibits that can no longer or only very rarely be shown in motion due to conservation conditions. Augmented, virtual and extended reality are to serve as basic technologies in order to bring the original character of the formerly moving exhibits back to life in different contexts using technically innovative mediation approaches. This ranges from the immersive extension of the classic exhibition visit to the animated augmented reality presentation in the children’s room at home. The project is divided into three main areas: Digitization, Presentation and Interaction. Within these process steps, the project partners work closely together and also work on their own research priorities. In addition, the full potential of the museum exploitation chain will be explored and commercially exploited at the end of the project. The project not only promises significant progress in the digital transfer of knowledge, but also serves the sustainable preservation of cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
